After watching several videos of PYM Kitchen on YouTube and seeing an abundance of TikTok’s of the supersize and super small foods, I was beyond excited to visit this restaurant.
Located in the Avengers Campus at the Walt Disney Studio’s Park in Paris, PYM kitchen allows you to step into the lab (kitchen) of Dr Hank Pym, the inventor of PYM Particles. The story behind the restaurant is that Ant-Man and Hank’s daughter Hope, have repurposed his lab by turning it into a state of the art food science research hub in order to eliminate food shortages and waste by shrinking or growing meals to their perfect size.
What drew our party to the restaurant to begin with was the buffet style service as well as the theming of it. Themed restaurants are a personal favourite of mine and having visited many in Disney’s Orlando Parks, I was keen to try the one’s in Disney Paris. Additionally, having visited Orlando many times, it was exciting to us to experience a restaurant that wasn’t in the Disney World parks. The Avengers Campus as a whole in Disneyland Paris is something that I would highly recommend to anyone, especially since this isn’t something the parks in Orlando have, it’s truly a unique experience that for a Marvel fan is a must see. Characters are literally walking around all the time and so meet and greets often have short queue times and photo opportunities are easy to nab!

Pricing starts at 45euros for an adult and 25euros for a child which for an all you can eat style restaurant is pretty good. This price does include a cold beverage or water, with additional drinks options available at a further cost. We made reservations on the Disney Paris app which were straight forward and easy to navigate. Our reservation was during the evening time around 6pm and the food selections were still fully available and well stocked at this time. One thing I often find with buffet-style restaurants is that the later you go the less options are available but this wasn’t the case with PYM which was nice to see. Food items were regularly replenished and the full menu was available.

What I loved about the inside of the restaurant was the décor and the tributes paid to the Ant-man films. Again, if you’re a Marvel fan, this is definitely a must-see. The choice of food is vast ranging from super sized burgers to super small burgers in addition to pot roasts, veggies, fries and salads. A personal favourite of mine was the super large croutons for the Caesar salad, I wasn’t quite sure how to eat it as well as fearful of breaking a tooth but needless to say it was amusing and tasty. The mini hard boiled eggs were also a nice added touch!

The choice of desserts were also vast and I highly recommend the Oreo cookie cheesecake it was amazing, the mini key lime pie is also a must try. There’s a few choices for children too ranging from fries to mac and cheese and mini burgers as well as an ice cream machine. In terms of healthier options carrot sticks and mixed veggies were also available as well as fruit salads.

If you have a large group of you this is great for those wanting to perhaps try some different foods or be entertained by the Ant-man themed super size and super small portions, it was a great experience and one that I would highly recommend. The restaurant was on the louder side and the tables are quite close together so if you’re looking for something a little quieter then I wouldn’t recommend it here; you could however ask for a quieter section of the restaurant but where we were sat it was on the louder side.
For the price I’d say this is very reasonable and for the experience I would say it is an overall winner. If you’re not into Marvel films that’s fine, this is still a great dining experience with the variety of food choices available. Another plus side to dining here is that there’s plenty to do and see around the Avengers Campus and so it’ll make for a great before or after meal activity.
Whilst the full menu is not available to view, drinks menus and further details of the restaurant can be found here
